What gender am I? I am female. As far as dressing goes, I walked the androgynous in-between ground for several years, but found myself migrating more and more towards the fem side of things, until the summer of 2005, when I thought -- I might as well just go with living as a female since I'm now pretty much all the time passing as one. It's been quite a journey through the realms of gender.
   Another interesting note was when I came out to my community regarding switching to female pronouns (she & her), I remember the affirming response of one of my housemates, "We've just been waiting for you to give the word."
   It's been nearly two year now since switching genders and I am so happy. I feel so much more at ease with myself and with my life. The transition was a bit bumpy at first learning all the social nuances of being female, but I am so loving my life now.
